The National Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil held a meeting for its cadres and teachers

On the afternoon of July 30th, the National Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil held a staff and cadre work meeting in Room A121 of the engineering department. School Vice Principal Dai Caili, Party Committee Standing Committee Member and Organization Department Head Li Zhengang attended the meeting. Members of the college leadership, heads of various research groups in the laboratory, and teacher representatives attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by President Liu Xinmei.

Li Zhengang read out the school's decision regarding the appointment of the laboratory director and the decision of the school's party committee regarding the appointment of the laboratory deputy director: appoint Mr. Tian Yuanyu as the director of the National Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil, appoint Pan Yuan as the deputy director of the National Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil. He pointed out that Mr. Tian Yuanyu and Mr. Pan Yuan have a high political stance, with outstanding research capabilities, they hope that both of you will fulfill your duties and take on responsibilities with determination, unite your efforts to thoroughly complete all construction tasks and make every effort to promote the high-quality development of the laboratory.

Tan Yuan Yu made a statement. He began by expressing his gratitude to the school for its care and support, as well as for its high-level attention to the development of the laboratory. He stated that at present, it is a crucial stage for the laboratory assessment, and he feels a strong sense of honor and great responsibility. In the future, he will unite and lead all the staff of the laboratory to work together with determination and overcome all difficulties, ensure that all laboratory construction tasks are carried out meticulously and thoroughly, and spare no effort to complete the related assessment work, strive to create a new situation for the development of laboratory construction.

Pan made a statement and delivered a speech. He expressed his gratitude for the school's nurturing and trust, he felt honored to be entrusted with the new position, but he was also fully aware of the heavy responsibility that comes with it. He stated that in the future, he would fully cooperate with the laboratory director in carrying out all the tasks, strengthen the collaboration between the laboratory and the college to provide laboratory support for the construction of the top-notch chemical engineering discipline, at the same time, based on one's job responsibilities, take the initiative to take on responsibilities, working together with all the teachers in the laboratory, they are concentrating our efforts to strive for the high-quality development of the laboratory.

Liu Xinmei delivered a speech on behalf of the college. She expressed sincere gratitude to the school for its long-term concern and support for the development of various undertakings of the college and key laboratories. She hopes that Mr. Tian Yuanyu and Mr. Pan Yuan will fully utilize their professional and experiential advantages, constantly enhance political awareness, and closely align with the laboratory's development goals, strengthen the sense of responsibility, take the initiative to act, and jointly promote the various work of the college and the laboratory to reach new heights.

Vice Principal Dai Caili delivered the concluding remarks. She emphasized that the National Heavy Oil National Key Laboratory is the core research platform of the university, all personnel should fully recognize the significance and the urgent need of the laboratory construction, effectively enhance the sense of responsibility and mission, strictly implement high standards in the construction of the platform, scientific research efforts, and talent development. She pointed out that the laboratory is an important platform for the development of the chemical engineering discipline, we should promote the mutual advancement and coordinated improvement of the chemical discipline through the construction of laboratories. Finally, Dai Caili listened in detail to the progress report on the relocation of the college and the laboratory, the progress and effectiveness of the current relocation work have been highly commended, and gain a thorough understanding of the actual difficulties encountered during the relocation process and the issues that need to be coordinated and resolved urgently. She stated that the school would coordinate resources in a unified manner, make the logistical support and related services more practical and detailed, and effectively address the actual demands of teachers and students in their research work and daily operations, ensure the smooth operation and high-quality development of the college and laboratory in the new campus.
