The library conducted a research and exchange visit to the college, jointly promoting the improvement and efficiency enhancement of resource services

In order to precisely align with the core needs of the academy (department) in terms of discipline construction, talent cultivation, and scientific research, on April 29th, Library Director Li Guo led a team to conduct a visit and exchange at the college. Deputy Director of the Library Guo Cheng, Deputy Directors of the Information Services Department Zhang Zhanying, Jia Zhenzhen, Wei Li, and Deputy Director of the Resource Construction Department Zhang Xuesong, College President Liu Xinmei, Vice Presidents Zeng Jingbin and Liu Fang, as well as student representatives, participated in the discussion and exchange.

At the symposium, Liu Fang presented an overview of the period from 2021 to 2025, the college has achieved progress and success in all aspects with the support of the library, and the "15-19" discipline development and key research directions, suggestions were put forward for strengthening the construction of specialized and forward-looking literature resources. Li Guo covered six aspects: teacher-student services, promotion of intelligent new technologies, resource service system, discipline service integration, in-depth information services, and services for the college and discipline, the situation of the library's support for the department's academic development was introduced. Li Guo pointed out that libraries can provide the most professional services for teachers and students in terms of literature resources, information retrieval, and learning service environment, and it was hoped that both teachers and students will focus on the development of the discipline and offer more opinions and suggestions. The library will focus on top databases in the field of chemistry such as ACS and RSC, provide the college with a complete chain of intellectual property services, and offer comprehensive support for the transformation of achievements from patent search to application consulting. Liu Xinmei thanked Li Guo and his team for coming to the college to share their knowledge and expertise and to address the college's needs,and she said the college would focus on the goal of building first-class disciplines, collaborate with the library to carry out resource development. Subsequently, Guo Chenghui, together with the library staff, demonstrated to everyone the distinctive resources such as the Research Intelligence AI, Scholar Database, and Subject Service Platform, answered students' and teachers' questions, and listened to their opinions and suggestions.
