The student affairs team jointly held a special symposium on collaborative education with the Department of Biology and Energy Chemical Engineering

In order to further consolidate the education and training foundation for students majoring in environmental science, accurately solve the problems of education, and unite the forces for education, on the morning of April 2nd, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering held a special symposium on student education and training between the student affairs team and the students of the Department of Biology and Energy Chemical Engineering in Conference Room A121 of the Engineering Building. The deputy secretary of the college's Party committee, Xu Guanghui, representatives of teachers from the Department of Biology and Energy Chemical Engineering, and counselors from all grades attended the meeting.

During the academic situation briefing session, the counselors of each grade comprehensively analyzed the learning and development status of undergraduate and graduate students majoring in energy and chemical engineering in combination with student source data, academic status and employment development, focusing on the outstanding problems and practical weaknesses of students of different grades in learning status, second class, scientific research practice, development planning, etc.

Subsequently, the participants engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding the construction of the collaborative education mechanism and the enhancement of students' comprehensive competitiveness.The meeting focused on two core issues of the improvement of undergraduate students' comprehensive qualities and the career guidance of graduate students, fully communicated and consensus-building were carried out regarding key tasks such as health and safety education, professional cognition and professional identity education, industry career cognition guidance, and the enhancement of sustainable development competitiveness, the working path of collaborative efforts and precise measures has been further clarified. Xu Guanghui combined the industry development trends with the enterprise's talent demands, and suggested that the department should further expand the platforms for cultivating students' comprehensive abilities, comprehensively promote the coordinated interaction between the first classroom and the second classroom, and continuously enhance the targeted nature and effectiveness of talent cultivation.

This symposium further clarified the educational philosophy and identified the key points for the differentiated training of undergraduate and graduate students, it embodies the collective efforts of the teachers, counselors and management team of the department. This has laid a solid foundation for further optimizing the training plan for environmental professionals and improving the quality of talent cultivation.
