In order to deepen the reform of the interdisciplinary talent training model and promote the construction of intelligent project-based teaching resources, recently, teachers from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the Shida Mountain Energy New Energy College, and the College of Economics and Management held the "2026 Cross-College Joint Graduation Design Kick-off Meeting". The relevant graduation design supervisors from the three colleges, as well as representatives of the joint guidance team, held the synchronous online and offline meeting to discuss related matters. This kick-off meeting was chaired by Jin Xin, who is the vice dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

At the kick-off meeting, the heads of the three colleges conducted a comprehensive and detailed discussion on the target positioning and work implementation plan of this joint thesis project. The participating teachers unanimously agreed that the cross-college joint graduation project is an important practical step for deepening educational and teaching reforms, promoting the integration of science and engineering, and cultivating talents in interdisciplinary fields of engineering, this is also an important measure that promotes the integration of multiple disciplines and helps cultivate versatile and innovative talents. This joint graduation project focuses on the fields of advanced chemical engineering and energy materials, and closely aligns with the industry development needs and social hot-spots, it guides students to break away from the mindset of a single discipline, to comprehensively apply knowledge from multiple disciplines to solve practical problems, and to comprehensively enhance innovation ability, practical ability and teamwork ability.
Regarding the arrangement of this joint thesis project work, the instructors from each college deeply discusses the time frames, task divisions, assessment criteria, and precautions for the graduation design project, it placed particular emphasis on core requirements such as cross-team collaboration, process-oriented management, and academic integrity. The teachers who draws on examples of academic competitions and industry-university-research cooperation, shared their guidance experiences and reminded the students to base themselves on their professional strengths and actively engage in cross-disciplinary exchanges, transform theoretical knowledge into practical achievements, and complete all tasks of the graduation project with high quality. The student representatives attending the meeting made statements, they will express their commitment to making the most of this interdisciplinary learning and practical experience opportunity, strictly abide by all the regulations of the graduation project, actively cooperate with team collaboration, and proactively delve into the research topic, complete the graduation project with a rigorous and pragmatic attitude, demonstrating the professional qualities and innovative spirit of contemporary college students.
