On the morning of January 23rd, 2026, the Taiwan Taipower Petrochemical delegation, consisting of five people, visited our institute , conducted exchanges on topics such as school-enterprise cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Hao Zhijie, the Party Secretary of the college, teachers Yang Zhaohé, Chai Yongming, Xiao Jiachi, Liu Hui'e, Yang Junwei, Shen Guoping, Li Jun and Zhang Xu from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, as well as Zhang Xu from the College of Storage and Construction Engineering, attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Hao Zhijie warmly welcomed the visit of the Taipower Petrochemical delegation, at the same time, they fully affirmed the willingness of both sides to uphold the concept of mutual benefit and deepen exchanges and cooperation. Subsequently, representatives of faculty members, including Xiao Jiazhi, Liu Hui’e, Chai Yongming, and Zhang Xu, took turns reporting on the core achievements, technological innovation breakthroughs, and progress in the transformation of outcomes in their respective research fields, fully demonstrating the school's profound research accumulation and efficient transformation capabilities in the field of petrochemicals. Members of the Taipower Petrochemical delegation showed great interest in the scientific research achievements presented during this exchange, were deeply impressed by the distinctive educational features and strong academic strength of the school in the petrochemical field.

During the discussion, both parties delved into in-depth discussions on the cutting-edge development trends of the chemical industry, the progress of key core technologies, and the actual application scenarios of the industry, the focus was particularly on the technical bottlenecks and difficulties encountered in the production and operation of Taipower Petrochemical, a thorough exchange of targeted solutions and innovative ideas was carried out. Both parties reached a consensus on this matter, clearly stating that they will further expand the breadth and depth of the school-enterprise cooperation, through models such as sharing technical expertise, joint research efforts, and joint talent cultivation, work together to solve common problems in the industry and achieve collaborative empowerment through industry-university-research cooperation.

This practical exchange between enterprises and universities across the Taiwan Strait, not only laid a solid foundation and built an efficient bridge for the further deepening of cooperation between the two parties, but also effectively promoted the precise matching and coordinated development of high-quality resources between schools and enterprises, injecting new vitality into the high-quality upgrading of the chemical industry and the deep integration of industry-university-research cooperation across the Taiwan Strait. Taipower Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was established on April 6, 1992, it is the largest petroleum refining and sales enterprise in Taiwan, registered capital: 95.2596 billion New Taiwan dollars, which mainly engaged in petroleum refining, production of petrochemical raw materials, and cogeneration of power and steam, forming a vertical integrated industrial chain from oil refining to petrochemical products.
