On the morning of October 24th, Lu Zhenwei, the Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Education and Sports Bureau of Changyi City, led an educational delegation to visit our instituteconduct visits and exchanges. The exchange meeting was held in Conference Room A121 of the Engineering Building, the vice dean of the College, Jin Xin, the deputy director of the publicity department, Yang Chao, and the heads of relevant departments attended the reception. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, educational teaching models, and the possibility of future cooperation.

At the meeting, Vice Dean Jin Xin of the College warmly welcomed the visit of Secretary Lu Zhenwei and his delegation. In the subsequent presentation, Vice Dean Jin Xin systematically introduced the college's development history and its distinctive talent cultivation system. He elaborated in detail on the educational model centered around the "Grand Chemical Engineering" concept, emphasizing the integration of process modeling and intelligent technologies into specialized course teaching to effectively improve students' engineering practice and innovation capabilities. Vice Dean Jin pointed out that the college is committed to formulating individualized training plans for each undergraduate student and adhering to a diversified training approach, ensuring that students acquire solid professional knowledge, proficient practical skills, and comprehensive qualities during their four-year studies. He also presented the guests with the impressive employment achievements of the college to date, which elaborates on the high employment rate of graduates and their main employment destinations, fully reflecting the close alignment between the college's talent cultivation and social needs.

Yang Chao, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the College, further elaborated on the core concepts and specific measures of the undergraduate education of our university. He emphasized that the undergraduate education of our university has always taken consolidating students' theoretical foundation as its fundamental task, while vigorously improving students' comprehensive qualities to ensure that graduates possess solid basic skills and the potential for sustainable development. Secretary Lu Zhenwei expressed strong agreement with this and elaborated on the current industrial layout characteristics of Changyi City as well as the urgent demand for various types of talents. He particularly emphasized that under the new situation, local economic development is in urgent need of interdisciplinary and application-oriented talents, and based on this, he clearly expressed his intention to carry out in-depth cooperation with our college in areas such as talent cultivation and the integration of industry, education and research. He hopes to leverage the intellectual resources of universities to empower the upgrading of local industries.

To further deepen mutual understanding and showcase the college's solid teaching and research support capabilities, Yang Chao led Secretary Lu Zhenwei and his delegation to visit the college's laboratories. During the visit, the delegation carefully examined the advanced experimental equipment, gained an understanding of the operation and management model of the laboratories, and intuitively felt the solid hardware strength invested by the college in cultivating students' practical abilities, as well as the rigorous academic atmosphere it has created.

This visit has not only deepened mutual understanding between the two sides but also laid a solid foundation for future substantive cooperation between the university and the local government. Both parties expressed their expectations that this exchange would mark the beginning of a series of future interactions, and that they would actively explore new cooperation models, jointly commit to cultivating more high-quality talents meeting social needs, achieve mutual benefit and win-win, and make greater contributions to the economic and social development of the region.
