The Second Conference on Fire Safety and Emergency Rescue Technologies in the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industries was held

From September 11th to 12th, the Second Conference on Fire Safety and Emergency Rescue Technologies in the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry was held in Qingdao. Vice Principal Zhou Peng of the university and Vice Dean Hu Han of the college attended the meeting.

This conference is jointly organized by the National Key Laboratory of Chemical Safety and other institutions，with the theme of "Collecting New Achievements in the Safe Development of Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry and Constructing a New Pattern for the Construction of Emergency Firefighting Industry",focus on in-depth discussions on key topics such as the current situation and development trends of the fire emergency industry, the construction and capacity improvement of emergency rescue teams in petroleum and petrochemical enterprises, as well as the innovation of emergency rescue technologies and the application practice of advanced equipment，the aim is to promote the innovation of concepts, ideas, systems, mechanisms and methods in fire safety and emergency rescue under the new circumstances，explore and share successful experiences and exemplary achievements, jointly promote the technological innovation in fire safety and emergency rescue in the petroleum and petrochemical industries.

Professor Zhang Laibin from China University of Petroleum (Beijing), the vice chairman of the Public Safety Science and Technology Society and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was invited to deliver a special report titled "Fire Risk Prevention and Control Technologies for Oil Storage Areas and Their Prospects",systematically elaborate on typical accidents in the crude oil storage area, their influencing factors, and the fire emergency response techniques, It is emphasized that in the future, efforts should be made to systematically tackle core technologies such as intelligent detection throughout the entire lifecycle and large-scale fire-fighting equipment, and at the same time, we will also build national-level experimental and training bases, promote the digital and intelligent transformation of the tank farm, and establish an emergency resource sharing and hierarchical response mechanism, realize that major fire risks can be identified, prevented and controlled.

Experts from China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and National Oil and Gas Pipeline Group Corporation, etc, delivered thematic reports respectively on topics such as the fire emergency management system and team building, as well as technological innovation and practice, share cutting-edge viewpoints, management experiences and future development trends, and contribute wisdom to enhance the fire safety and emergency rescue capabilities in the petroleum and petrochemical industries. The participants at the meeting stated that they would actively engage in the construction of industry safety capabilities, strengthen technological research and application, deepen the collaboration between enterprises and local areas, and jointly build a solid barrier for fire safety and emergency rescue in the petroleum and petrochemical sectors.
