The new leadership team of the college has been established

On the morning of July 20, the college held a cadres’ work meeting in Conference Room A121 of the Engineering Building. Wu Qiangming, Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Li Zhengang, Head of the Organization Department of the Party Committee, attended the meeting.

Participants included members of both the incoming and outgoing college leadership teams, the full-time organizational staff member, the director of the Professors Committee, the chairperson of the trade union, heads of various departments (offices, centers), Party branch secretaries, and administrative staff. The meeting was presided over by Liu Xinmei, Dean of the College.

Li Zhengang, Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Committee, announced the decision of the university’s CPC Committee regarding the appointment of cadres in the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering: Comrade Liu Xinmei was appointed as Dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Comrade Hao Zhijie as Secretary of the CPC Committee of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Comrades Hu Han, Zeng Jingbin, Liu Fang, and Jin Xin as Vice Deans of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Comrade Xu Guanghui as Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Comrade Chen Xiaobo as Deputy Director of the Research Center for High-End Chemicals and Energy Materials and concurrently Vice Dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

The outgoing leading officials, Comrades Zhang Yongning, Liu Dong, Liu Yi, and Tang Pingru, delivered their farewell speeches in turn. The newly appointed members of the leadership team, Comrades Hao Zhijie, Liu Fang, and Jin Xin, made their inaugural statements successively.

Comrade Liu Xinmei delivered a statement on behalf of the new leadership collective. She first expressed gratitude for the care and support from the university Party committee, and extended thanks to Comrades Zhang Yongning, Liu Dong, and Liu Yi for their selfless contributions to the college's development.She emphasized that the achievements of the school would not have been possible without the strong support of the university, the close collaboration of the leadership team, and the hard work of every faculty member.The new leadership team will adhere to Party leadership as the guide, unite efforts for development, and uphold fostering virtue through education as the fundamental mission. They will promote the deep integration of Party building with academic and administrative work, fostering a collegial environment characterized by integrity, unity, and dedication.Anchored in the goal of achieving excellence, the team will deepen reforms and innovation, practice a people-oriented approach centered on faculty and students, strengthen service awareness, and comply with discipline and regulations. They will uphold democratic decision-making, ensure transparency in school affairs, proactively accept supervision, and build a clean, pragmatic, and efficient team. With the strong leadership of the school's Party committeeand and the collective efforts of all faculty and students, the college will see even greater development in its new journey.

Secretary Wu Qiangming delivered the concluding remarks. He stated that the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has made significant progress and development in various aspects in recent years. The university has high expectations for the college's future, which is the result of the collective efforts of the college's leadership team and all faculty and students. He expressed sincere respect and heartfelt gratitude to the previous leadership team. Facing the new situation, tasks, and requirements brought by the concluding phase of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the upcoming launch of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the University Party Committee, after careful and repeated selection, has appointed a new leadership team for the college. It is believed that on this new foundation, the college’s development will be elevated to new heights. He requested that the new leadership team should: Firstly, set the direction and manage the overall situation. Based on the current foundation of the college and the requirements of the current situation, they should determine the direction and goals for development; Secondly, lead the team and build the cadre team. They should leverage the leading role effect, set a good example and lead by example, build a comprehensive and highly competent cadre team and a high-quality professional teaching staff team; Thirdly, make decisions and ensure implementation. They should make scientific and democratic decisions and lead all the teachers and students of the college to achieve practical results. He expressed his hope that the new leadership will thoroughly summarize the experience gained during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, focus on addressing the bottlenecks and challenges hindering the college's high-quality development, scientifically plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan, and lead all faculty, staff, and students to work together with unity and dedication toward the goal of building a high-level research-oriented college.
