Alumni from the Class of 1977 of the Refining Department Return to Alma Mater

On May 19, the College held a symposium in Conference Room A121 of the Engineering Building to welcome alumni from the Class of 1977 of the Refining Department.

Before the symposium, Zhang Yongning led the alumni on a tour of the college’s thematic cultural wall, where they fondly recalled the teacher-student bonds and youthful memories from their academic years. Members of the college leadership team posed for group photos with the alumni.

During the symposium, Zhang Yongning extended a warm welcome to the alumni and provided an overview of the college’s development history, highlighting its outstanding achievements in recent years in talent cultivation, scientific research, and domestic and international exchange and cooperation. He emphasized that the college’s vigorous growth owes much to the support of its alumni and expressed hope that they would continue to care for and support the college’s development, contributing to further breakthroughs in areas such as high-level talent recruitment, major project applications, and the transformation of scientific research成果. He concluded by wishing the alumni good health and success in all their endeavors.

The alumni gathered joyfully, engaging in lively conversations and reminiscing about past friendships and shared struggles. They expressed gratitude for the education they received at the college, voiced delight at its accomplishments, and pledged continued attention and support to the development of both the university and the college, wishing the college even greater success in the future.
