On April 10, 2025, a delegation from COSL Oilfield Environmental Protection Technology Institute visited the College of Chemical Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China) to explore potential collaboration in establishing a joint laboratory for oilfield environmental protection. The delegation was led by Director Li Bin and included Mr. Liu Xu, Manager of the Scientific Research Project Department.
At the beginning of the exchange meeting, Professor Liu Fang extended a warm welcome to Director Li Bin and his delegation and expressed her anticipation for future collaboration. She pointed out that environmental protection technology is currently a crucial area for the development of the oil and gas industry. She looked forward to achieving cooperation in fields such as oilfield pollution control and resource recycling through complementary advantages, and obtaining exemplary results.Manager Liu Xu thanked Professor Liu Fang for her welcome and systematically introduced COOEC's industrial layout in areas such as the research and development of environmental protection equipment for offshore oilfields and the treatment of oil-containing sludge. He emphasized that COOEC is committed to providing environmental technology solutions for oilfields, particularly in improving pollution control in marine oilfields, resource recovery, and forward-looking research, where there is significant demand. Therefore, he expressed hope for close collaboration with relevant universities in scientific research to jointly promote the innovation and application of environmental protection technologies.Subsequently, Professor Liu Fang presented an overview of the development history, research directions, and achieved scientific accomplishments of the environmental discipline at China University of Petroleum (East China). She stated that the environmental discipline at the university has a solid research foundation in the field of oilfield environmental protection and could engage in targeted scientific collaboration based on COOEC's needs. Faculty members from the College of Chemical Engineering also introduced their respective research directions to Director Li Bin and proposed specific cooperation ideas on how to align with COOEC's business requirements.

This exchange event has laid a solid foundation for establishing in-depth collaboration between the two parties. Both sides agreed that scientific research cooperation in the field of oilfield environmental protection will help promote the industrial application of technology and contribute to the sustainable development of oilfields.
