The college inspects the safety operation status of the laboratories

On March 26th, led by Party Secretary Zhang Yongning and Vice President Chen Xiaobo, a delegation consisting of the Safety Supervision Office of the College and some laboratory directors, visited Guozhong Building in the Gugang Campus to inspect the laboratories and the graduate student studios, and check the safety operation guarantee conditions of the laboratories.

During the inspection process, the inspection team interacted with the teachers and students present on the spot regarding laboratory safety management. They learned about the situation of laboratory personnel's presence and the implementation of safety management work, re-examined the progress of rectifying potential safety hazards in relevant laboratories, inspected the duty status of each research group and laboratory teachers, and provided guidance on aspects such as water and electricity safety in laboratories, safety of hazardous chemicals, fire safety, and strengthening the publicity and rectification efforts for potential safety hazards. Through on-site inspections, the inspection team learned that most laboratories had relatively tidy environments and relatively standardized safety management. However, there were still a few laboratories with problems such as disorderly placement of items, poor ventilation, and lax management of individual student workspaces. For the problems identified during the inspection, the inspection team took photos for record and informed the relevant responsible persons immediately, organizing immediate rectification to ensure the smooth progress of the college's teaching and research work.

The college will continue to promote the standardized management of laboratory safety, urge the laboratory personnel to firmly establish safety awareness, strengthen safety responsibilities, and safeguard the personal safety of teachers and students as well as the development of the school. It will call on all the teachers and students of the college to jointly create an efficient, safe, clean and standardized laboratory environment.
