The Daqing Center of PetroChina Research Institute of Petroleum Processing came to our college for scientific research exchange

On March 21st, Sun Famin, deputy director of the Daqing Center of PetroChina Research Institute of Petroleum Processing, led a team to visit our institute for an exchange and discussion. Meanwhile, some of his colleagues participated in the meeting online. Vice President Hu Han, Vice President Chen Xiaobo, Director Jin Xin of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Professor Qiao Yingyun and Professor Qin Zhengxing from the National Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil attended the meeting. Vice President Hu Han presided over the meeting.

Hu Han extended a warm welcome to Sun Famin and his team, and briefly introduced the current situation and development direction of the college. The attending teachers respectively introduced the research fields and progress of their teams. Sun Famin introduced the basic situation of the Daqing Center and the technical problems it is currently encountering. Finally, both sides had an in-depth discussion on the research technologies of mutual concern and expressed the hope that through this exchange, they could strengthen technological innovation cooperation in areas such as crude oil refining and upgrading, catalytic reaction engineering, the integration of oil refining and artificial intelligence, and catalyst preparation, to promote the common progress and development of both sides.

The Daqing Center of China National Petroleum Petrochemical Research Institute is affiliated to China National Petroleum Corporation's Petrochemical Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Petrochemical Institute). The Petrochemical Institute was established in June 2006 based on the former Research Center of Refining and Chemical Technology of the original joint-stock company. It is a directly affiliated research institution for refining and chemical technology under China National Petroleum Corporation, being the only directly affiliated research institute for downstream business of China National Petroleum Corporation. The Petrochemical Institute has 13 research sections including the Lanzhou Chemical Research Center, the Daqing Chemical Research Center and the Beijing Institute Department. The Daqing Chemical Research Center of China National Petroleum Corporation was established on March 5, 2007. Its business scope includes research and development services, production and sales of petrochemical technologies and products.
