Recently, Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau announced the results of 2024 Qingdao Natural Science Foundation key projects. our college has successfully approved 2 projects among the 9 key projects in the whole city, and the project leaders are Professor Hu Han and Professor Zeng Jingbin. This is the first time that Qingdao has set up such a key project, which aims to promote school-enterprise cooperation and help the high-quality development of key industries. The success of this project not only shows the college's strong strength in implementing the school's "serving the local" strategy, but also highlights the great potential in promoting local scientific and technological innovation and industrial development.

 Professor Hu Han teaming up with Qingdao Guanbaolin Activated Carbon Co., Ltd. declared the project of "Preparation of hard carbon materials based on soft carbon precursors of refining and chemical by-products and control of their sodium storage properties", proposing to use refining and chemical by-product asphalt and petroleum coke as raw materials to build hard carbon materials for sodium storage and reserve new refining and chemical transformation technologies. According to the phase and reaction characteristics of asphalt and petroleum coke, dehydrogenation polymerization-pre-oxidation and liquid phase activation strategies were used to suppress the graphitization tendency of thick ring elements in raw materials, and to construct hard carbon materials rich in through closed pores. The evolution law of active free radical species during the construction of hard carbon was investigated, and the influence of physical properties of raw materials on the microstructure of hard carbon was revealed. On this basis, the customization of hard carbon asphalt and petroleum coke was guided. In situ characterization technology based on electron paramagnetic resonance was developed to clarify the influence of electrolyte components on the interface of solid electrolyte, optimize the electrolyte, and realize the application of hard carbon with high rate.

Professor Zeng Jingbin declared the project of "Precise Synthesis, Luminescence Mechanism and Immunochromatography Application of fluorescent carbon quantum Dots Based on molecular engineering Regulation", mainly focuses on the synthesis strategy of novel carbon quantum dots, elucidates the luminescence mechanism and reveals the interaction mechanism between carbon dots and analytes by analyzing the structure-activity relationship between key parameters such as carbon dot structure, functional groups, defects, and heteroatom doping. The project will further cooperate with Qingdao Hantang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Handsen Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to solve the current problems such as insufficient performance of carbon quantum dots, difficulty in structural analysis and unclear structure-activity relationship, and realize highly sensitive qualitative-quantitative analysis of multiple pathogens.

The key projects of Qingdao Natural Science Foundation mainly support scientific and technological personnel and teams with strong innovation strength, focus on major scientific problems and key common technical problems in key development industries of Qingdao, carry out in-depth and systematic innovative research, promote the development of advantageous disciplines of Qingdao, and promote breakthroughs in several scientific frontiers or important fields that meet the strategic needs of Qingdao. The duration of the grant is 3 years with 1 million yuan/project.
