The College held the fifth Student Congress and the fifth Graduate Student Congress

On October 26, the fifth Student Congress and the fifth graduate student Congress of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering were held. Xu Guanghui, deputy secretary of the College Party Committee, Wang Zhaoxing, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, each grade counselor, Zhang Xuhe, representative of the presidium of the Student Union, Luan Wenjing, representative of the presidium of the Graduate Student Union, and guests of the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union of the Brothers College were invited to attend the opening ceremony. There are 64 undergraduate representatives and 47 graduate representatives, a total of 111 people.

The powerful national anthem announced the opening ceremony of the conference and the beginning of the first plenary session. Zhang Xuhe and Luan Wenjing delivered speeches on behalf of the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union respectively. They affirmed the efforts made by the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering as a bridge to connect the students, in terms of ideological guidance, organizational construction, and serving the growth and development of students. At the same time, they also hope that the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union can strictly follow the requirements of the Party Committee and the Youth League Committee of the college, do not forget the original intention, keep in mind the mission, unite and lead the young students of the college, and continue to write a new chapter in the organization.

Xu Guanghui, on behalf of the Party Committee of the College, congratulated and delivered a speech on the convening of the conference. He summarized the achievements of the college in the past year from the aspects of party building and education, scientific and technological innovation, discipline competition and cultural and sports development. He said that the Party Committee of the College will, as always, care for and support the work of the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union to create a better environment and conditions for the growth of students. At the same time, it also put forward three expectations for the members of the student Congress, student leaders and the members of the Student Congress committee to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, have the courage to take responsibility and work hard.

After the opening ceremony, Liu Wei, an undergraduate student, on behalf of the Student Union of the College, made a work report entitled "Seeking truth and Pragmatism, bravely undertaking the mission, Contributing youth and inspiring force to the construction of a world-class, multi-disciplinary coordinated development of high-level research College in the field of energy and chemical industry with Chinese characteristics", summarizing the achievements of the student Union of the college in the past year. He proposed that the Ministry of Rights and Interests should pay attention to the protection of students' rights and interests, collect the rights and interests issues raised by students of the college through the "Rights and Interests Committee liaison Group" and regularly report unified feedback, so as to implement the service to students. On behalf of the Graduate Student Association of the College, the Graduate Student Association made a work report entitled "踔厉 Work hard, work hard and strive to Create a favorable New Situation for the high-quality development of graduate work in high-level research colleges". He reviewed the work of the last graduate Student Association from the aspects of style development and style construction. At the same time, I also thanked the Party Committee of the College and the Youth League Committee of the College for their careful guidance as well as the enthusiastic help of the graduate student Association of the university and the sister colleges.

At the second plenary meeting, the student representatives voted to approve the election method of the general assembly, the list of chief vote supervisors, the list of general vote counters and vote registers, read out the list of candidates for the chairman of the Student Union and the graduate Student Union of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of China University of Petroleum (East China), and carried out the election by margin vote. At the second delegation meeting, the representatives studied and discussed the speech of the Party Committee leader, the work report of the Student Union, and reviewed the draft amendment to the Constitution of the Student Union of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of China University of Petroleum (East China University of Petroleum) and the draft resolution on the amendment to the Constitution of the Student Union of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of China University of Petroleum (East China University of Petroleum).

At the third plenary meeting, after the vote counting by the supervisor and counter, the chief supervisor reported the vote counting results and announced the list of the presidium of the 27th Student Union and the list of the presidium of the 27th Graduate Student Union of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Li Yulong, Liu Wei, Gao Ziru three undergraduate students and Ma Zehui, Zhou Xun, Shengyu three graduate students elected. Subsequently, the Assembly heard a working report on the proposal. Finally, the delegates sang the school song, which closed the curtain for the fifth Student Congress and the fifth graduate student Congress of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

This conference comprehensively summarized the work results of the previous session of the Student Union and the graduate Student Association of the College, elected a new session of the presidium members, clarified the work direction of the college student Union and the graduate student association. The fifth student Congress and the fifth graduate Student Congress were successfully held, which stimulated the enthusiasm of the students of the college and promoted the construction of the college.
