From October 10 to 13, the 5th National Workshop on Environmental Analytical Chemistry and the 11th Workshop on Solid Phase MicroExtraction Technology (China) was successfully held in Qingdao. The conference was hosted by Sun Yat-sen University and China University of Petroleum (East China) and National Key Laboratory of Chemical Safety. More than 400 experts, scholars and representatives from more than 50 universities, research institutes and enterprises, including Tsinghua University, Peking University and Chinese Academy of Sciences, gathered in Qingdao, shared the latest achievements, innovative progress and development direction in the field of environmental analytical chemistry.
Prof. Li Jinghong, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University; Prof. Zhuang Qiankun, Director of Chemical Science Department and Director of Environmental Chemistry, National Natural Science Foundation of China; Prof. Tang Bo, Chief Scientist of Laoshan Laboratory; Prof. Ouyang Gangfeng, Chairman of the Conference, Sun Yat-sen University; Professor Dai Caili, Vice President of China University of Petroleum (East China), Professor Liu Xinmei, Dean of College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of China University of Petroleum (East China) and other experts and scholars attended the opening ceremony. Prof. Zeng Jingbin, Chairman of the Organizing committee and vice Dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, China University of Petroleum (East China), presided over the opening ceremony.
Dai Caili welcomed the presence of experts, scholars and representatives. She pointed out that the school has always been committed to serving the national "double carbon" strategy and the cause of environmental protection, looking forward to all parties to jointly explore the frontier direction of environmental analysis, to win the key core technology battle, accelerate the realization of high-level science and technology self-reliance and contribute wisdom and strength to the cause of environmental protection in China.
Ouyang Gangfeng said that environmental analytical chemistry, as the foundation and key of environmental chemistry research and environmental protection, always plays the role of "scout". Under the background of global climate change and environmental pollution, the research and application of environmental analytical chemistry are particularly important and urgent. We need to constantly break through technical bottlenecks, innovate analysis methods, and protect green mountains with more scientific and accurate means.
The conference focused on the areas of atmospheric environment, water environment, soil environment and environmental health, and set up a total of 4 sub-venues, and carried out 7 conference reports, 43 thematic reports, and more than 100 sub-venue reports. The conference invited Academician Li Jinghong, Professor Zhuang Qiankun, Professor Tang Bo from Laoshan Laboratory, Professor Wang Shu Wa from Soochow University, Professor Zhang Qian from Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Wang Halin from Ecological Environment Research Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Niu Li from Guangzhou University and other 7 people to make a special invited report. Among them, Academician Li Jinghong shared bioanalytical chemistry for life and health, expounded the latest research progress in this field, and the important role of key technologies such as biomarker detection and biosensors in improving the quality of life and health, and demonstrated the broad prospects of environmental analytical chemistry in precision medicine and public health. Professor Zhuang Qiankun introduced in detail the funding situation and development trend of the National Natural Science Foundation in the field of environmental chemistry in recent years. He discussed the types of funding projects, key research directions, and the important role of the fund in promoting basic research and innovative development in the field of environmental chemistry, encouraging researchers to actively explore cutting-edge topics and promote green technology and sustainable development.
At the closing ceremony, the organizing committee of the conference announced the winners of the "Excellent Wall Poster Award" and awarded the winners. In his closing speech, Professor Ouyang Gangfeng expressed his gratitude for the successful holding of the conference and the active participation of experts and scholars, and spoke highly of the scientific research results displayed in the conference, hoping to continue to promote the in-depth cooperation and development in the field of environmental analytical chemistry through this platform in the future.
As an important academic exchange platform in the field of domestic environmental analysis and testing technology, the National Conference on Environmental Analytical Chemistry brings together experts, scholars and industry leaders from across the country to discuss cutting-edge research and technological innovation. The conference not only promoted academic cooperation and exchanges in the field of environmental chemical analysis, but also played a positive role in improving the level of environmental monitoring technology, coping with environmental pollution challenges and promoting green and sustainable development. The in-depth discussion and sharing of experts and scholars through this meeting will surely inject new impetus into China's environmental protection and scientific and technological progress, and promote scientific and technological innovation in related fields to a higher level.
