The college organized laboratory safety inspection on new semester

On March 1 and 4, a team led by Vice Dean Chen Xiaobo, the school's safety supervision office and some laboratory leaders went to the relevant laboratories of Gugukou Campus and Tangdaowan Campus to inspect the laboratory and graduate student studios to check the preparation for the opening of the school and the safety operation guarantee.

During the inspection, the inspection team communicated with the teachers and students present on the laboratory safety management, understood the laboratory personnel in place and the development of safety management work, reviewed the rectification progress of related laboratory safety hazards, and checked the maintenance of emergency spray and eye washing devices in public areas. The team also gave guidance on the safety of laboratory water and electricity, the safety of dangerous chemicals and the safety of fire. After field visits and inspections, the inspection team learned that most of the laboratory environment was relatively clean, and the experimental personnel had been basically in place to carry out experiments normally. However, there were also a small number of laboratories with chaotic items, gas cylinder management was not strict, poor ventilation and other problems. For the problems found in the inspection, the inspection team required an immediate rectification to effectively protect the life and property safety of teachers and students, and ensure the smooth development of teaching and research work of our college in the new semester.

In the new semester, the college will continue to promote the standardized management of laboratory safety, urge the experimental personnel to firmly establish safety awareness, strengthen safety responsibility, escort the personal safety of teachers and students and the development of the school, and call on the teachers and students of the school to jointly create an efficient, safe, clean and standardized laboratory environment.
