Alumnus Yang Tao was elected a member of the Royal Norwegian Academy of Sciences

Yang Tao, graduated in Applied Chemistry from our Institute in 1991, is now a senior technical expert of Norwegian energy giant Equinor (formerly Statoil) and vice president of the National Center for the Sustainable Use of Energy Resources on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS2030). He was elected a member of the Norwegian Academy of Engineering in 2021.

The Royal Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters is an academic society located in Trondheim, Norway, founded in 1760, is one of the highest academic institutions in Norway, and is also a full member of the All-European Academy of Sciences (Allea) representing Norway, mainly responsible for promoting research and development in various fields of science and art, academician is the highest honor of the institution.
