Dr Matteo Bosi, research scientist at the Institute for Electronic and Magnetic Materials (IMEM) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). His main research interests are the specific preparation and analysis of semiconductor nanomaterials, including the synthesis of silicon carbide, silicon carbide/silicon dioxide nanowires with core-shell structures, crop oxide thin films, germanium nanowires, and molybdenum disulphide. He has published more than 100 papers and books and has participated in more than 20 international conferences and given conference presentations.

Dr Liudi Jiang, Professor of Materials and Mechatronic Systems, Head of Mechanical Engineering, University of Southampton, UK. She has carried out a lot of pioneering research work in the field of micro and nano sensor systems and non-volatile amnesic resistors using internationally advanced nanomaterials and micro and nano mechatronic technologies, especially in the field of electro-mechanical sensor development and application with many original results. In recent years she has been awarded the IEEE Paper Prize, the Society, the UK National BLESMA Award and the James Williams Award of the National Engineering and Technology Society, and the First Prize for a paper at the World International Congress on Prosthetics and Orthotics 2017.
