On November 12, the International Seminar on Petroleum Interfacial Science and Chemical Safety was held in China University of Petroleum (East China). Hosted by College of Chemical Engineering and International Office at UPC, the seminar has attracted more than 60 experts, scholars, graduate and undergraduate students. Professor Han Hu, vice dean of College of Chemical Engineering, delivered the opening speech during the opening ceremony. Professors Wenting Wu and Xiang Feng co-chaired the seminar.
Six experts did reports at the seminar, including Professor David Harbottle from University of Leeds, Professor Hong Wang from China University of Mining and Technology, Doctor Zhiwei Ma from Stanford University, Professor Subiao Liu from Central South University, Professor Guanshi Zhang from University of Texas Health San Antonio, and Doctor Xiao He from University of Calgary. The seminar has strengthened the understanding of interfacial science in petroleum and chemical safety issues. It has summarized the latest developments and achievements in theory, technology, and application, promoting technical exchanges.
